ABOUT US
Sansovino Vigneti e Cantine is an Agricultural Cooperative Company located in the south-eastern part of the Veneto region at 50 km from Venice.
Since 1950, it has made wine from the grapes of its members that produce about 25 million kilograms per year by using the latest techniques and equipment.
The wines come from international varieties, such as Merlot, Cabernet, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, and autochthonous varieties of the Veneto region, such as Prosecco, Marzemino, Refosco and Friularo.
In particular Friularo Ambasciatore, is an excellent red wine made from late harvested grapes dried in an indoor room with slow fermentation and long ageing in durmast casks. Wine is traded in Italy and Europe, as well as in the USA, South America and Asia.
The numerous awards received at the main wine contests all over the world demonstrate the high quality of our products that also have an excellent quality/price ratio.
JACOPO TATTI
Jacopo Tatti, later named Sansovino (Florence 1486 – Venice 1570) is one of the most important Venetian artists of the 16th century.
A painter, a sculptor and an architect, he left numerous works in Venice, Chioggia, Padua and close to us in Pontecasale di Candiana, where Villa Garzoni, the first and imposing example of a Venetian villa, is located.
With the Sansovino name, we want to underline the tight link with the land through one of its greatest characters.
